Materials / Build logic

Premium detail starts with the right simplification.

Material selection follows viewing distance, handling, transport, interaction and service needs—not a generic miniature finish list.

Base systems

Walnut, birch ply and aluminium

Structural bases respond to footprint, mass, access and transport. Finished wood gives warmth; aluminium subframes support large or touring models where the quoted scope requires them.

Transparent layers

Cast and smoked acrylic

Clear, frosted and smoked acrylic can separate envelopes, circulation, water or removable layers. Thickness and edge treatment remain scale- and handling-dependent.

Model geometry

Painted resin and engineered polymer

Processes are selected for crisp massing, fine repeatability or impact resistance. Tiny details are simplified when fragility would undermine the presentation.

Interaction

Serviceable low-voltage systems

LED modules, controllers, removable parts and manual mechanisms are separated from real building or machinery control and designed for bounded presenter use.

The written proof and source list establish the production basis. Any prototype sample answers named questions only.

  • One controlled source list and revision date
  • Overall size, scale and base treatment in the proof
  • Approved simplification, labels and colour hierarchy
